baal phagor

This record music comes from a contemporary dance and music performance, "Baal Phagor, the dialectic eulogy". In this CD, after winning a rock contest, Gezz Zero plays more acoustic jazz, more near at Mingus or Art Ensemble of Chicago sound, opening sometimes to new electric contaminated sonorities.
Baal Phagor was a Siryac ancient God and he has the appearance of many other Gods.
He was called B in Anatolia, Kronos and Baal Phagor in Greece, Belfagor in middle age Florence, like a Spirit continually reincarnated.
Talking about Baal Phagor we thought about human essence and appearance, both evolving and involved by external world. The musical idea of this record is to represent this subject through constant changing of moods and of essence…Each single song is very different from the others, for sonority and arrangement and it has a meaning in itself. In the whole this record so composite, affirms the existence, the right and the value of the differences.

Carlo Gatteschi saxes, Fabio Provazza drums, Filippo Papucci bass, Alberto Capelli guitar, Nicola Vernuccio doublebass, Tiziana Simona voice in 5, 9, Stefano Scalzi trombone, Stefano Bartolini tenor sax.
All compositions are by Carlo Gatteschi
