TEMPI DURI 2
tempi duri
The name of this CD, "Hard times", is referred to this not easy historical times, and to hard musical times (rhytmics). In this CD Gezz Zero Grup plays a sound more hard, more rock, but freely, like it is in his own style.
Released In 1994 "Tempi Duri", obtained the Oscar as BEST ITALIAN JAZZ RECORD OF THE YEAR by "Mucchio Selvaggio", one of the most important music magazines in Italy, and Gezz Zero Grup has been mentioned as BEST GROUP OF THE YEAR in '94 "Top Jazz" referendum. "Tempi Duri" has been remastered and with a track live more has been printed and distribuited by SONY MUSIC with the name of "Tempi Duri 2" in 1996.
Cover notes by Fernando Fanutti, (Rockerilla Magazine).
"…Gezz Zero Grup lives and breathes in this contemporary and destroyed village in which we all live; under the limelight and in the darkness of nights without the moon.
"Tempi Duri" (Hard Times) is the soundtrack of reality in movement as conflicts surround us.
It is live and pulsating music, multicolored and by no means reassuring, in which moments of determination, composition, chance and improvation produce a reciprocal balance between contrast and harmony; a synthesis of optimism and uncertainty, passion and violence, a fusion of ideas."
